Lena is an excellent goalkeeper, one whom I have known/coached (on and off) for the past ten years. In the years I have known Lena, she has become a great keeper, a lion hearted young woman with a fierce resolve to be the best player she can be. Lena is the type of GK to never stop a drill until she's mastered it. She will always ask for one more shot, never truly satisfied until she's confident she'll make no mistakes. I think that is just one of the many things I love most about her training style, because it shows on the game field.

Lena has been playing on the HSV Langenfeld women's team since 2021, starting in 6 matches when she was just 16 years old. This is all the more impressive as HSV Langenfeld was then playing at the highest amateur league, the Niederrheinliga (translated: the Association League). The team was relegated in 2022 to the Landesliga (translated: State League), and Lena is still going strong: cataloging the most minutes of any of the three GKs currently on the roster.

Lena is set to finish high school next summer, with a cumulative GPA of 2.8 in her Abitur. She'd like to start her collegiate education by diving straight into business administration (Sports Management), where I have no doubt that she will excel in the classroom as she will on the field.
